82nd Heat Treatment Congress October 13 - 15, 2026 - Cologne

The 82nd Heat Treatment Congress of the Working Group for Heat Treatment and Materials Science (AWT) will take place in Cologne from October 13–15, 2026. The entire congress will be conducted in English.

Submit your poster by August 15!

Posters are a valuable form of communication at a conference! Visible to participants at all times, they provide an opportunity to present complex data that would be difficult to explain within the limited time of an oral presentation. A total of 3,000 €, sponsored equally by Burgdorf GmbH & Co. KG and Fluxtrol Inc., will be awarded for the best posters at the IFHTSE World Congress, Heat Treatment Congress, ECHT, and Steel Innovation. The prize money will be divided among the winners. Cross-Industry Global Highlight

The HeatTreatmentCongress and Steel Innovation 2026 is organized in cooperation with the European heat treatment associations from France, Austria, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and the Benelux countries, as well as the International Federation for Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering (IFHTSE). The congress and trade fair are scheduled to take place over three days.
